Who we are
AXIOME is run by Spectral Disclosure at spectraldisclosure.com. Questions about this policy or your data go to spectraldisclosure@proton.me.
What we collect
- Your email address. It is your account: we send sign-in links to it instead of using passwords.
- Your birth date, time and place (as coordinates and a place name), and the name you give, if any. Your chart is calculated from these.
- What we calculate and write from them: your chart, your reading and any Atlas portraits.
- What you add to your profile: a bio, social handles, and a picture you upload or have drawn.
- Purchases. PayPal takes the payment; we receive its confirmation and what it unlocked, never your card or bank details.
- The share link that brought you, if one did, so the person who shared it is credited.
- Anonymous usage counts. When a chart is calculated we record the time, the country (looked up from your IP address, which is not stored), the TCSI percentile and a salted one-way visitor code that can’t be traced back to you.
How we use it
- To calculate your chart and show you the results.
- To write your reading and portraits.
- To email you sign-in links, your reading and report, and occasional AXIOME updates. You agree to these at sign-up, and every update has an unsubscribe link.
- To place you on the leaderboard.
- To keep the service running and stop abuse.
We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
What other people can see
The leaderboard shows your rank, your display name (or “anonymous” if you leave it blank), your bio, social handles and picture. It never shows your email address or birth details. Share cards are made on your device and go wherever you post them. If you sign up through someone’s share link, it unlocks their traits; they aren’t told who you are.
Services that handle your data
- Render hosts the site and the engine; Neon stores the database.
- Anthropic’s Claude writes readings and portraits. It receives your calculated chart, your name and your birthplace, under Anthropic’s commercial terms, which don’t let it train its models on them.
- Resend sends our emails and keeps the mailing list.
- PayPal processes payments.
- Black Forest Labs draws profile pictures from your mythic figures. It receives no personal details.
- OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim looks up the birthplace you type on the sign-up form, straight from your browser.
Cookies and storage
We use a sign-in cookie that lasts seven days, a cookie that remembers a share link for 30 days, and one that remembers which notable chart you are browsing. A few display preferences are kept in your browser’s storage. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. PayPal sets its own cookies when you pay.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete it and we remove your account, chart, readings, profile and mailing-list entry; records of purchases are kept only as long as the law requires. Birth details can’t be edited after sign-up, because everything else is calculated from them: to start again, ask us to delete the account and sign up afresh.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. Your name, bio, handles and picture you can change yourself on your Profile. For anything else write to spectraldisclosure@proton.me; we answer within 30 days. If you live in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
AXIOME is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly hold their data.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top, and we email you about any change that affects how your data is used.
